"Bavarets vadya ot garaazh, a posle na masaazh" is the motto of the E61 Squad — the community for whom the 5-Series Touring isn't just a car but a way of life, with turbo and room for the luggage. (The rhyming line plays on "garaazh" / "masaazh" — garage and massage — and the drawn-out "aaa"s are read aloud exactly the way they're chanted in person.) The BMW logo sits in the middle like a seal, and the E61 silhouettes on either side recognise their own from a lane away.

The colours are laid down with UV print on the strip, and a clear protective UV coating goes on top — the same layer that gives the gloss, sharpens the contrast and takes the daily wear instead of the lettering. How long do UV-printed frames last?▾

The frames are made of ABS plastic with UV-resistant print. They withstand sun, rain, car washes and temperature swings — under normal use they last 3+ years without fading.

How are the license plate frames mounted?▾

Installation is easy and takes under 5 minutes. The frame is fixed to the car with the screws from your existing frame — usually 2, on some cars 4. You then place the plate in the frame and fix the retaining strip underneath, which holds it in place. No specialist and no extra tools needed.
